Since the teaser is up already, I think it’s okay for me to blog about it? =)
I made an identity design for a friend’s shop, and today we put up the teaser images on her shop’s Facebook page. Truth is, she didn’t really ask me to create the identity. The idea just hit me one day, so I started making stuff for her, haha! I’ve been too obsessed with icons and logos and branding since two years ago, (Bob Gill and Landor Associates and Pentagram, thank you!) so I’m happy that I finally got to do something like this one. I know I’m at the infancy stage when it comes to visual design/visual communication/graphic design, so I feel lucky to have friends who understand my obsessions and are willing to let me do things like this in exchange for food!
Anyway, Timeline is (how shall I put this?) too full of measurements! lol! I had to try it out on my page several times, and after many failed attempts, I finally got the right placement. And just when I thought I got things right, I discovered Facebook Profiles and Pages have different measurements. Therefore, not everything is on the internet (or maybe I didn’t ask Google the right question). I tried and tried until I got where I wanted without knowing how I got there. LOL! And I’m happy. I always wanted to create an ‘interacting’ cover and display photo. (Too minimal for now because I still got a looooooong way to go. And the image artifacts are so frustrating!). But still, I’m glad that my friend, Raem, is too awesome to let me do this.
Anyway, sorry for the long post.
